｢００７シリーズ」の華やかさと渋い演技が光る名優ショーン・コネリーの出演作。共演はキャンディス・バーゲン。異国情緒たっぷりのサウンドを展開するのは巨匠ジェリー・ゴールドスミス。ＬＰは持っているが完全盤ＣＤということで以前から欲しかった作品。巨匠ゴールドスミスは民族音楽的要素をふんだんに取り入れていると思われ、打楽器も効果的だがその中でも美しいメロディが流れ引き寄せられる。ラブ・テーマの素晴らしさは別格かも。それにしてもショーン・コネリーの出演した映画は面白い作品が多い。その存在感が面白くさせているとは言い過ぎか？
