この世に存在する数多くのクリスマス・アルバムの中でもその代表格として、今なお全世界で多くの音楽ファンに支持され続けている名盤中の名盤。フィレス・レコードに当時在籍していたクリスタルズ、ロネッツ、ボブ・B・ソックス&ザ・ブルー・ジーンズ、ダーレン・ラヴといったアーティストがクリスマスのスタンダード・ナンバーを歌い、さらに彼(女)らのヒット曲のアレンジ・フォーマットに則って収録された名曲が詰め込まれた本作は、まさにウォール・オブ・サウンドの1つの到達点と言っても過言ではない。「ホワイト・クリスマス」や「そり滑り」といった誰もが知っているクリスマス・ナンバーがスペクターの手にかかると強烈なサウンドを身に纏って、まるでオリジナル作品のような個性的な音となって溢れ出す。唯一のオリジナル曲「クリスマス」は、このアルバムの中でもハイライトの1つ。当時シングル・カットされたほか、後に映画『グレムリン』でも使われ、マライア・キャリーやU2など多くのアーティストによるカバーでも知られるエヴァーグリーンな名曲。

ﾎﾟｯﾌﾟｽのｸﾘｽﾏｽｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ史上最高傑作でﾎﾟｯﾌﾟﾐｭｰｼﾞｯｸ史上に残る大傑作｡ひっそりと09年にﾘﾏｽﾀﾘﾝｸﾞされてるけど個人的にはｺﾚ(09年盤)はｲﾏｲﾁ｡音質は格段に良くなってるけど楽器音&残響音が引っ込んでVo.だけがやたら大きい…最早ｺﾚはｳｫｰﾙｵﾌﾞｻｳﾝﾄﾞじゃないよ…ｽﾍﾟｸﾀｰｻｳﾝﾄﾞの豊かな中音域の魅力が無くなってる…少し音は荒れてるけどｺﾚよりｽﾍﾟｸﾀｰ本人がﾘﾏｽﾀﾘﾝｸﾞした02年盤がｵｽｽﾒ｡本人に再ﾘﾏｽﾀﾘﾝｸﾞやらせるべきだろうけど現状じゃ無理だしね…
