〈ニューNY〉や〈ビースト・コースト〉といったムーヴメントの中核を成すブルックリンのクルー、プロ・エラのメンバー、ジョーイ・バッドアスの待望のデビュー作。90年代のNYヒップホップを継承する存在として日本でも注目が集まっていたが、トライブ・コールド・クエスト"Scenario"をベースにしたスタティック・セレクター作の先行曲"No.99"を筆頭にサンプリングやフレーズの引用、同郷のブートキャンプ・クリック周辺を彷彿とさせるラップ・スタイル、DJプレミアの参加などなど、その要素は随所にあり。とはいえ酩酊気味なメロウ・トラックが目立つのは実にイマっぽくもあり、単なる焼き直しではない絶妙なセンスで幅広い世代からの支持を獲得。早くも2015年ベストの一枠は決まりか。
