メディアからの高評価だけでなく、デビュー作とは思えぬ完成度の高さとその漆黒の世界観で日本を含め世界中の音楽ファンの心をつかんだアルバム『サイレンス・ユアセルフ』の発売から約4年。遂にサヴェージズがセカンド・アルバム『アドア・ライフ』をリリース!2015年4月にロンドンにあるRAKスタジオでリリースが敢行された本作は、前作と同様にジョニー・ホスタイルをプロデューサーに迎え、リチャード・ウッドクラフトがエンジニアを務めた。歌詞は前作のネガティヴな歌詞とは違いポジティヴなラヴソングが詰まったサヴェージズ流ロマンティック・アルバムに。一足先に公開され、早くも米PitchforkにてBest New Trackを獲得した、シングル曲「The Answer」は"愛こそが答え"という今作のテーマともなっている強いメッセージが込められた意欲作となっている。

ピンズやノッツと共に現行の女性ポスト・パンク・バンド人気を牽引するロンドンの4人組が、BO NINGENとのコラボ盤を挿んで3年ぶりに2枚目のアルバムをリリース。冒頭から美しくて激しい重低音が響き渡り、グループ名よろしく獰猛な吐き捨てヴォーカルも絶好調です。ジョイ・ディヴィジョンがハードコア化したような“T.I.W.Y.G.”ほか、新機軸もきっちり提示し、その男勝りな攻めの姿勢に惚れ直しました。
